Design and optimization of mechatronic systems, with current applications to sustainable manufacturing and the automotive industry. Research projects include: precision, speed and energy efficiency improvements in motion delivery systems of manufacturing machines; passive and active vibration control in ultra-precision manufacturing machines; modeling and control of electric power assist steering systems; actuator dynamics of gasoline direct injection engines; sustainable manufacturing in less developed countries.
