Center for Sustainable Systems

Twice a month in the summer CSS researchers will get together and discuss a journal article relevant to sustainable systems.  In addition to being intellectually stimulating, it will give us a great opportunity to chat and connect with each other. While the paper we discuss may not always be exactly in your research area, our diverse experience and input will lead to a vibrant discussion of the topic.

On August 9 we will discuss an article from the journal Energy Policy entitled, "Barriers to widespread adoption of electric vehicles: Ananalysis of consumer attitudes and perceptions" by Ona Egbue andSuzanna Long.  The article focus is on consumer attitudes and perceptions of electric vehicles (EVs). The authors used a survey to investigate the views of EVs by, what they call in the article, "technology enthusiast and potential EV owners." By using a targeted population the authors were able to identify current barriers to widespread EV adoption..

Bring your lunch and join the discussion!
