The field of sustainability consulting continues to grow due in part to the increasing interest in quantifying and improving the sustainability impacts of products, technologies, organizations and sectors. Sustainability consulting uses a variety of tools and methods to address micro and macro issues for one-of-a-kind clients. This presentation provides a candid summary of my day-to-day experiences working for a sustainability consultancy. It covers the following:

     Why join a consultancy?
     Transition from academia
     Everyday challenges & solutions
     Growth opportunities

The goal of this presentation is to provide an insight into consulting for students who are interested in pursuing it as a career trajectory. Attendees of this presentation will get a good idea of what skills are necessary to be a successful consultant and how these skills will also ready you for working in related professional tracks.
