MBRACE (Mini-grids from Biomass Residues for an Agricultural Circular Economy) is a collaborative initiative stemming from the University of Michigan that is spearheaded by Dr. Jose Alfaro, Dr. Ivette Perfecto, and Dr. John Vandemeer, and is in collaboration with partners from the University of Puerto Rico Utuado and Casa Pueblo in Puerto Rico. This project seeks to stimulate a new path for the sustainable development of Puerto Rico's food and energy sector through industrial symbiosis, while fostering strong community participation from within Puerto Rico. The website showcases the project, students/partners involved, publications, news, and information for the multi-year project. Check it out!
