The overall goal of these projects was to design, and demonstrate high-performance heat exchangers produced by additive manufacturing for concentrating solar power, process heat, and other demanding applications. This part of the projects focused on building process-based cost models to drive material, design, and process choices towards the lowest cost alternatives that yielded sufficient performance. Surrogate models were produced to quantitatively characterize this trade-off.
