Research Interests

Mark is interested in corporate environmental strategy, linking strategic environmental choices to the profitability of firms. Prior to coming to Michigan, Mark was working as a mechanical engineer at Varian, Inc. doing research and development for their nuclear magnetic resonance division. Mark graduated from Stanford University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a BA in Economics. While at Stanford, he was also a diver on the NCAA champion swimming and diving team. In his spare time, Mark enjoys skiing, mountaineering, mountain biking, running and cooking.
